George Mason Wrestling Doesn’t Disappoint!

I ventured over to George Mason University this weekend to catch a dual meet between the Patriots and the visiting Buffalo Bulls. One could look at the final score (26-7 Bulls) and be disappointed with the GMU team. But I disagree. These young men fought hard in every match, all the way to the end. In fact, four of the matches ended up going into overtime and could have gone either way. While I was trying to be objective, as the afternoon progressed I found myself really pulling more and more for these guys.

The day started off pretty good, as I was able to chat with Mason coach Frank Beasley. What a great guy and a real motivator for these young men. He definetely has a vision for his team. You can read more about that interview, and listen to Coach Beasley’s thoughts at my previous post.

I was able to grab a few good pictures, but they don’t come close to capturing the excitement of the matches, and the effort these guys put in. I am heading back tomorrow for the Patriot Open, which should be a lot of fun! In the mean time, check out the photos below, and Be Uncommon!
